At The Spirit House with Good Friends

Today we went to The Spirit House in Yandina on the Sunshine Coast with our good friends Barb and John. Although the sun didn't shine, and in fact at times the rain was quite heavy, the weather didn't dampen our spirits or appetite for that matter John with the signature Fish dish, which was delicious apparently). Barb and John we will miss you both while we are away, but as Barb said "The beauty of true friendship is that it doesn't matter how long between coffee's we will always pick up where we left off" Love you both

Julie's birthday at The Boat Shed

We had a lovely dinner at The Boat Shed in Cotton Tree with Jess and Chris for my birthday on Friday night. It is situated on the Maroochy River with views to Coolum in the north. Brian and Chris had the Lamb, Jess the Surf and Turf (although it came quite rare and had to be returned for the seafood pasta) and I had the Braised Duck, which was delicious. Chocolate fondant with a candle was our dessert. A great night with wonderful company!

Our Bon Voyage Party

Hello Everyone, Hope you all enjoy the photo's of our terrific going away party held at Barb and John's lovely home last Saturday. The food was wonderful and to share it with the company of our friends and family made it even more special. Everyone hopefully had a good time, I know we did. You will be able to follow our travels with this blog and see where we plan on heading to next,(that is if we know) and if it looks like somewhere you may like to visit, remember the kitchen table in the camper folds down into our guest bedroom. We will miss you all. Love, Julie and Brian

The preparations are almost finished

Well we are counting the days now. Only a handful of working days for both of us then we are away. Soon we will have No Fixed Address and no work to go to. Woo Hoo !!!!!!!!!!!!! Getting just a little excited, well Julie is, ( and me too I have to admit) as she has only seven days of work to go. I have to suffer for another 12 days yet. Still most things are done here, just the last few things to pack at the last minute. One car has gone and the other up for sale and furniture and stuff that would not fit in storage has all gone. The bike (Adams) went a couple of weeks ago too. Just a round of farewells and the finishing touches to the Roggenkamps project and we are free. A lunch coming up at work at the Breakfast Creek Hotel ,then a party at Barb and Johns, (thanks guys) pack our bags and Hong Kong here we come. A final update before we leave Oz, then all correspondence to follow us on our journey.
